Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. of Jacksonville, FL embarks on an ambitious new re-branding plan that is called "Transformational Remodel". There are 484 Winn-Dixie locations operating in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi. Half the stores already have undergone renovations; however the "Transformational Remodel" platform commenced in 2011 and is scheduled for the next several years.

Pinkerton & Laws has completed five renovation projects for Winn-Dixie Grocery Stores with two more of the Transformational Remodels just awarded which are located in Miami and Pompano Beach Florida. Renovations include the exterior façade demolition and replacement. This includes an urban circular glass and steel structure which is Winn-Dixie's new signature look. Interiors include new wood plank flooring, interior and exterior painting, installation of new automatic entry and exit doors, replacement of display cases, upgraded HVAC, fire alarm and electrical systems, and new restrooms.

Out of the five renovation projects Pinkerton & Laws has completed for Winn-Dixie Stores, two are located in the Tampa area, while the other three are located in St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, and Sun City. Each store remains open during the approximate 150-day construction period and Pinkerton & Laws performs much of the work after business hours to minimize disruption.
