HABITAT
FOR HUMANITY

Congratulations
to all the P&L Employees that participated in the Cobb
/ Smyrna Coalition Habitat for Humanity “build”.
It was a very hot day, 95 degree weather, when everyone met
on Saturday morning August 7, 2010 to work all day throughout
the heat building and erecting all interior walls, completing
the house wrap, and installing all windows so they will never
leak!
Participants from
P&L included Della Kennedy, Helena Prieto, Erik Johnson,
Jeff Cass, Art Bright, Larry Weidmann (Water Intrusion Guy),
Mark Webb, Maleeia Black, and Henry (Hank the Hammer) Hene,
and various family and friends. There were also volunteers
from various religious organizations participating. The crew
leaders associated with the “build” educated,
encouraged, and made sure all stayed hydrated so that the
crew could continue the process of turning an empty lot into
a house and home for a wonderful deserving couple.
The house
was scheduled for completion by early October but finished
one week ahead of schedule. P&L can be proud that their
commitment in both physical and financial means has made a
difference in the lives of this family and that the family
of P&L has made great strides in the process of “giving
back” to the community. |
