September 2019

Sunday, August 18, 2019 was a special day in the lives of Belinda Arkoh and her family.  That was the day that family and friends crowded into her freshly painted living room to present the ceremonial hammer, bible, and keys to her brand new Habitat For Humanity house.  This celebration was a culmination of nine weekends of effort by over 240 volunteers to build a house, but better than that, create a hand up for the Arkoh family.  Employees from Pinkerton & Laws, including the Coalition Co-chair Henry Hene, worked hand in hand with the home owner to build a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in the Old Bankhead Highway area of Mableton, Georgia. As a member of an Interfaith Coalition that includes nine churches, a synagogue, 2 mosques and 4 corporate sponsors, Pinkerton & Laws contributes financial support and our employees contribute the ‘sweat equity’ that turned the Arkoh house into a home.
